Account Deletion

This page explains how users of The Stevedoring App can delete their account and request deletion of associated personal data. It is unauthenticated and public so it can be used for Google Play Data Safety review and by users who no longer have access to the app.
Delete your account in the mobile app
- Open The Stevedoring App.
- Sign in to the account you want to delete.
- Open Profile or Account.
- Choose Delete account and confirm the deletion prompt.
When an organization is active, the app sends the deletion request to the tenant account deletion API before clearing local app data. When no organization is active, the app falls back to direct Firebase account deletion.
Delete your account in the tenant web console
- Go to https://www.stevedoring.app/login.
- Sign in to your tenant account.
- Open Account.
- Use Delete account and confirm the prompt.
Request manual deletion
If you cannot sign in, email privacy@digicargo.co.za from the email address on your account and include:
- Your full name.
- Your account email address or phone number.
- The organization name, if you know it.
- A clear request to delete your The Stevedoring App account.
We may need to verify your identity before completing the request.
What is deleted
- Your sign-in account is deleted or disabled where deletion is technically available.
- Tenant session data and device-local app data are cleared from the app after successful deletion.
- Profile information that is not required for legal, operational, security, audit, or billing purposes is deleted or anonymized where possible.
What may be retained
Some operational records may be retained after account deletion where they are required by the organization that owns the data or by law. This may include consignment records, carrier activity, item scans, incident reports, audit logs, invoices, fraud-prevention records, and security logs. Where retention is required, we minimize personal information where practical and restrict access according to role and organization.
Timing
In-app and tenant web deletion requests are processed immediately where the backend account deletion route succeeds. Manual deletion requests are normally processed within 30 days after identity verification, unless a longer retention period is required by law, contract, security, dispute resolution, or audit obligations.
